Over 1,500 Southern California Edison customers lost power on Friday. (Ashley Ludwig/Patch)RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A power outage in Rancho Palos Verdes affected 1,797 customers Friday evening, according to Southern California Edison.The outage was caused by equipment problems and started at 4:48 p.m. Friday, according to SCE.A field investigator was alerted of the outage and was en route to the area as of 5:30 p.m. The outage was reported in the area of South Western Avenue between West Toscani Drive and Caddington Drive.
